Dear Charlene,
Seeing your blog so dead and lifeless, actually speaks volumes. But it's ok, I'll update it for you, partly because I simply need a blog other than mine to update. Yah, why can't I just update my own blog right? Well, it's like being a fish in a fishbowl. You don't know what shape the fishbowl is until you're looking at it from the outside. Some things I just can't blog in my blog. So I guess it's not really a blog in that sense. My diaries are usually all fragmented into various cyber spaces, hidden from the other "space" we all live in. But I guess cyber diaries aren't really good. I mean after all, it's no longer personal. But I guess in such a fast-paced and dynamic rhythm we all dance to, there's no time to actually sit down and literally pen down your thoughts. So for now, cyber logs work for me. As long Bill Gates doesn't go mad one day and decide to shut down Microsoft.
I like Westlife a lot. Been listening to a lot of their songs lately. One of those bands which don't really grow old. I mean their songs are timeless, whether you're single, attached, married, whatever, I think Westlife is a very economic band in that sense. Appeals to many. But of course, those who don't appreciate Pop Music won't really get it. I don't think there's anything wrong with Pop Music per se, it is after all, just popular music. So I guess Pop music, as it's name explains, does appeal to many. Those who find it disgusting and choose not to "go with the flow", simply comprise of the minority. Well, free will.
So been pondering about Free Will quite a bit lately. I think it goes beyond the freedom of choice. I think it goes beyond what we intentionally choose, be it for the Glory of God or not. I don't know. It's quite complicated. Or maybe it's really that simple: God gave us the freedom to choose, to decide, to will - because we are The chosen race, we are His chosen people, and He loves us infinitely, unconditionally, despite the wrong choices that we so often make.
Believe me, JC is not easy. I want to get a boyfriend, get married and live happily ever after in a cozy apartment on the 20th floor along the East Coast. :)
Love,
Denise Cheong.
